Welcome to Gilby's Restaurant

We are situated close to Cardiff on the edge of the Vale of Glamorgan. You can find us just off Junction 33 on the M4 offering an ideal meeting place outside the city centre, with all major towns and tourist attractions of South Wales within easy reach. The restaurant is set in an acre of grounds secluded and hidden away from the main roads with easy access to the Heritage coastline to the south. The building was converted into a Restaurant in 1997.

Cardiff, the capital of Wales, is a city of contrasts; innovative architecture sits alongside historic buildings. The bustle of the city centre is only a few minutes from acres of peaceful parklands, and the Welsh culture of dragons and myth blends perfectly with a modern, technology-driven city. With a Full and Vegetarian A'La Carte Menu and seating up to 120 people the dining room is well equipped to cater for small or large parties or groups. Gilby's have ample car parking spaces and excellent disabled access. The restaurant is located close to all transport links, including the Airport. The M4, Airport, Cardiff Central Station and bus Stations are all within easy reach by taxi.

The ownership of Gilby's recently changed to the successful partnership of Michael Standerline and Xavier Le Bellégo. The Partners already own the Red House at Marsh Benham and Forbury's Restaurant in central Reading. Their combined experience brings new focus to Gilby's as they plan to build on the already superb reputation it has achieved. We aim to use this foundation and build on it to become the best dining experience in South Wales.
